This past weekend, my wife and I decided to do a quick weekend in San Francisco, California. However, we decided to stay outside of the city close to the airport. The Hilton Hotel that we were planning on staying at close to Fisherman????????s Wharf didn????????t have a swimming pool and it was necessary that we have a pool on this trip.
Our choice was the Hilton Garden Inn located in Burlingame, California. It was clean and comfortable and wasn????????t too far away from the city. In fact, it was only about 20 minutes to Fisherman????????s Wharf. But, that is another topic.
Our day was packed with activity and when we arrived at the hotel, we were much too tired to try to find a restaurant in town. We decided to do something easy and order pizza. After all, it is the national food of being lazy. Talking to the front desk manager, I found out that when they order pizza, they choose a local company called ??????The Pizza Guys.?????? They deliver, so I didn????????t have to try to find their restaurant.
Food in the San Francisco area is not cheap. The pizza was no exception. To feed our crew, we needed to get a couple of pizzas. The final tally for the pizzas and a liter of pop was $45. But, it was well spent. The pizzas were delivered in the time that they said they would be ??????? just about 30 minutes. Hot and ready to be devoured.
Each of the pizzas tasted great. One was a Canadian Bacon and Pineapple and the other was Pepperoni. Pizzas with few ingredients often make the best pizzas (in my opinion.) If I am in Burlingame again, The Pizza Guys would be an easy choice if I am in the mood for pizza.
They do offer an assortment of pasta dishes, seafood, steak, chicken and appetizers. Friday and Saturday the restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. The rest of the days they are open until midnight. Not bad for a late night snack.
