What is the Stormwater User Fee, and how does it currently Work?

The Unified Government’s Public Works team is studying how to create a fee system that is both fair for everyone and adequately funds the city’s stormwater system.

Make your voice heard by attending one of several Stormwater User Fee Open Houses. The first open house is December 5 at the Beatrice L. Lee Community Center located at 1310 North 10th Street from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

Everyone in the Kansas City, Kansas community is invited to attend. Participants may come and go as they need any time between 4:30 and 7:00 PM. City staff will be available to describe the current stormwater system’s needs, listen to feedback from the community, and answer questions.

Can’t make this open house? No problem. The second open house is December 13 from 4:30 to 7:00 PM at the Eisenhower Community Center located at 2901 North 72nd Street.
