Water main repair closes lane along 38th Avenue North at Tyrone

St. Petersburg, Fla. (December 6, 2018) – Crews are continuing to work on replacement of a 25-foot length of 12” water pipe under the turn lane of 38th Avenue North just east of Tyrone Boulevard.

A leak was detected in the main at that location, and workers are having to cut the pipe by hand to remove the affected section and make a permanent replacement.

While a handful of local businesses are without water service, the main has been isolated and water service is being maintained for most residents and businesses in the area.
