Voter-approved Stormwater Fee takes effect July 1


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Media are invited to attend an event Tuesday to create awareness that the voter-approved stormwater fee, 2A, will take effect July 1 for Colorado Springs residents.

What: 2A Stormwater Fee implementation media event

When: Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. (please arrive by 11:20 a.m. to set up)

Where: Platte Avenue over Sand Creek (See below map)

Speakers: Mayor John Suthers, City Councilmember David Geislinger and

Water Resources Engineering Division and Stormwater Enterprise Manager Richard Mulledy to make short remarks and highlight an example of a stormwater project that could be funded with the fee.
