Volunteers needed for July 29 disaster exercise

Would you like to participate in a disaster drill? Fort Worth is looking for volunteers 16 and older to take part in a simulated disaster at a Fort Worth location.

Fort Worth’s Office of Emergency Management will conduct a disaster exercise requiring more than 175 volunteers, including students 16 and older, on July 29. This opportunity will allow students and parents to participate in a simulated disaster alongside first responders and hospital liaisons.

Each participant must register individually in advance. A legal waiver must be signed, and more details regarding role as a volunteer for the exercise will be sent to participants.

Junior volunteers and parents may register as a “FWISD volunteer” on Eventbrite even if the student does not attend FWISD.
