The New Mexico State University Library’s 2018 calendar features stunning photographs of fossils, minerals and petrified wood from NMSU’s Zuhl Collection. The specimens were assembled by Herb and Joan Zuhl during a lifetime of collecting.
“The colorful and geologically significant pieces, some of which are more than 200 million years old, reflect the beauty and diversity of the natural world,” said Dennis Daily, Archives and Special Collections department head.
The Zuhls have donated hundreds of specimens to NMSU, which can be seen on display in the NMSU Zuhl Library, the Zuhl Museum and Gardiner Hall. The wall calendar is available for $10 on the second floor of Zuhl Library, suite 224. Credit cards are not accepted. Please make checks out to NMSU Library.
