Training and education programs like this support our mission to unify, strengthen and elevate nonprofits across the state.”
Every Southern Utah UNA educational program includes time for practical discussion, networking and the sharing of experiences with your non-profit peers. Though programs are focused on nonprofit organizations, workshops and networking events are open to the public to participate as well.
When: October 1, 2015, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where: Dixie Applied Technology College (DXATC), 1506 South Silicon Way, Building C-2, St George, UT 84770
During the recession 38% of Utah nonprofits closed their doors. What was missing? Was there not a need for the services being provided or were the organizations poorly managed? The nonprofit arena is an important part of the three main sectors in the United States to include government and private business. It is essential that our nonprofit world stay strong and vibrant. Nonprofit organizations often fill the voids that the private and government sectors cannot address. So, how do we survive? Whether your nonprofit is a start-up or has been in existence for several years, you will learn, be inspired, or simply be reminded of what areas need focus via the following steps:
- What makes you unique
- Laser focused mission
- Surround yourself with talented, committed and passionate people
- Strong system of delivery
- Strong system of evaluation
- Learn from those you serve
- Sustainable funding
- Constant study of your area
COST: $30.00 for UNA Members, $50.00 for Non-Members Light continental breakfast will be served.
