NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans’ construction contractor, Dieudonne Enterprises, Inc., has reduced traffic to one lane in portions of the Pilotland neighborhood to accommodate construction of the Youth Study Center Streets project. Traffic is reduced to one travel lane on the following streets: Cadillac Street (Harrison Avenue to Foy Street), Davey Street (Milton Street to Davey Street), and Harrison Avenue (Davey Street to Cadillac Street) for approximately one month. Public safety is our top priority; residents and commuters are reminded to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking in the project area.
The $2.4 million Youth Study Center Streets construction project is funded by a Community Development Block Grant and includes replacing four blocks of water lines, repaving portions of the roadway, as well as installing American with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps, sidewalks and driveway aprons. Work began in February 2017 and is scheduled be completed in the fall.
For questions and / or concerns about the project, please contact RoadworkNOLA at (504) 658-ROAD or send e-mail to [email protected].
