Tuesday, July 3 – Please be advised, there will be a permitted special event, Red White & Boom, on Tuesday, July 3, from 6 to 10 p.m. Projected attendance is expected to be reach over 8,000 people. Westbound traffic will be impacted on and around Woodall Rogers Freeway due to the closure of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge beginning at noon on Tuesday, July 3 until 2 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4.
Wednesday, July 4 – Please be advised, there will be a permitted special event, Five on the Fourth, on Wednesday, July 4, from 8 a.m. to noon. Projected attendance is expected to be reach some 2,000 people. This new event is a family friendly run and bike ride beginning and ending at Klyde Warren Park. Partial or full lane closures will include:
- Westbound service road of Woodall Rodgers Freeway from Saint Paul Street to Akard Street
- Akard Street from Woodall Rogers Freeway to Cedar Springs Road
- Cedar Springs Road/Turtle Creek Boulevard from Akard Street to Fitzhugh Avenue
