I had to make another trip to IKEA this past week. The good news is that I started figuring out how to get around the store and saw some new things that were kind of neat (think 380 sf apartment layout).
After we bought the goods, we decided to head upstairs to the IKEA restaurant and try the famous meatballs. Frankly, the price was right ($6.99) which included mashed potatoes and a drink.
It was late enough when we got there that there were no crowds, so it was a quick visit. The other choices that were available in the line looked pretty good. I almost went for the fish, but stuck with the Swedish meatballs. After all, when you have people telling you good they are, you gotta bite!
You get a plate full of meatballs with the order and they were good. The people helping in the restaurant area were friendly and helpful. The area was kept clean. And, it looked like some of the people were coming just for the meal and not even shopping in the store.
The Swedish meatballs from IKEA were good. However, I will have to admit that the Swedish meatballs my mom makes would put these to shame. Still, if you are at IKEA and need a quick bite that tastes good, don??ª?t hesitate to take a break and get an order of meatballs. You will enjoy it.
The IKEA restaurant is open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday it is open until 6:30 p.m. It is located at 67 West IKEA Way in Draper.
