|The Colorado Springs Sports Corporation has unveiled its new website for 2020 that will give sports fans across the state a look at the organization’s exciting array of events for the public and amateur athletes.
The Sports Corp has announced an ambitious schedule of 15 special events for 2020 which could attract more than 350,000 spectators, athletes and sports fans to Colorado Springs, Olympic City USA.
"We are looking forward to a dynamic series of attractive events this year which will make it possible for almost everyone to take part and enjoy," said Sports Corp President & CEO Tom Osborne. "It is our best presentation of these events in history."

The Pikes Peak region will experience some of the most outstanding events hosted by the Sports Corp in 2020. The event season will kick-off with the USA Wrestling Girls National Championships on March 26-29, bringing nearly 1,400 competitors to The Broadmoor World Arena.
The kick-off to the summer Olympics will start early with the spectacular Olympic & Paralympic Museum & Hall of Fame Grand Opening, with a community celebration on May 31 and continue well into the summer with the Tokyo Olympic Downtown Celebration on July 24. This event will be one of the largest attended summer events in downtown Colorado Springs with international music.
Summer will sizzle with the high octane, high speed Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack, June 20-21. Hosted in conjunction with Revvolution and Shift-S3ctor, this event will see hundreds of the fastest, most powerful street cars take to the Colorado Springs Airport runways in ahalf-mile, side-by-side trap speed competition.
The annual Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Fan Fest will rev up Downtown Colorado Springs on Friday, June 26 showcase the 98th running of the world’s most famous and historical auto hill climb on Sunday, June 28.
July will showcase the new partnership with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra and The Sports Corp to host the long-standing tradition of the 4th of July Symphony in the Park (Memorial Park) with an extraordinary fireworks show, symphony performance, beer garden, vendors, and activities for the whole family.
Closing out July,more than 10,000 athletes of all ages and skill levels are expected to once again participate in 30+ different sports as a part of the 19th annual Rocky Mountain State Games, Colorado’s largest sports festival, July 17-19 & 24-26.
On August 8, the Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb will push cyclists to the extreme as they race on the grueling 12.4 mile course up Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain.
Sports Corp will close out the summer with Hot Apple Productions and Rainbow Ryders to host the 44th annual Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off in Memorial Park. More than 165,000+ spectators are expected to come out to see nearly 80 hot air balloons take to the skies September 5-7.
In October, five individual sport legends and one team will be inducted into the annual Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame to celebrate their impact and legacy of sport in the Pikes Peak region. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2020 class of inductees and special award winners at ColoradoSpringsSports.org and the class will be announced in April.
And finally, the year will not be complete until the USA Wrestling King of the Mountain event on December 6-8. Over 1,000 athletes will converge at The Broadmoor World Arena.
