Thanks to a $30,000 donation by The Friends of the Marshall Public Library, the books that call the library home will soon get a new place to spend their days between checkouts.
Recently, the group presented library staff with the money for new shelving for the library’s growing catalogue.
“Thank you to The Friends for their unwavering support of the library and our mission,” said Eric Suess, Marshall Public Library Director. “Patrons will notice the relocation of some collections to other places in the library and the additional space will allow us to expand almost every facet of our adult collections.”
On October 23, the library will be closed to the public to allow staff to transfer the books to the new shelves. The facility will reopen October 24 at 9 a.m.Officials apologize for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
