The El Salvadore Restaurant Hits Home

The other day I had the opportunity to stop by the new location of the El Salvadore Restaurant to see what was going on. When I walked in around 1 p.m. there were about 20 people inside which seemed to be a good crowd. I saw a couple of people I know and headed to the counter to order. However, you can always take a seat and they will bring a menu to you.

The menu had favorites on that I had eaten in the past, but today there was just time for a quick bite. I ordered a papusa with pork and the fried yucca with some meat. Because they are cooking everything fresh, it took a few minutes to get my order. But, the wait wasn?›ƒ?ªƒ?›t too long.

Since it was an order to go, I didn?›ƒ?ªƒ?›t see everything until I returned home. The papusa was still hot and fresh tasting, the yucca was hot and the meat was in bite sized pieces and still hot. Fresh is good. There was also plenty of their coleslaw and hot sauce for the meal. All of this is packaged in a traditional way in little baggies.

In the words of one of my friends in the restaurant, ?›ƒ?ª?I love this place?›ƒ?ª?. I would have to agree. The food was simple and good. It is nice to be able to get away to another part of the world through the food.
If you haven?›ƒ?ªƒ?›t tried El Salvadore Restaurant, check it out at 880 South Main in Logan.
