My wife and I like to eat lunch together once in awhile ??????? OK, quite often. After all, I kind of like her. The other day, we decided to check out to Hamilton????????s Steak and Seafood in North Logan, Utah. It had been some time since we had eaten there. But, it is always nice. The atmosphere is warm with large logs reminiscent of a lodge on the outside and inside. The dining room is at the foot of a large stone fireplace which is wonderful during the winter months in Cache Valley.
We enjoy sitting at the booths, so there is a sense of privacy with the high backs and tucked to the side of the dining room.
If you love a lunch that is well-proportioned and has a ton of flavor, you will want to try the Classic Lunch. The basics of the lunch are a cup of soup (usually French Onion, Clam Chowder and a Roasted Red Pepper), salad (choice of wedge, Caeser, dinner) and a half sandwich (too many to list).
The French Onion soup is wonderful anytime. However, this last visit, I tried the Roasted Red Pepper soup. It was a creamy soup with lots of flavor. The wedge salad is a given. Although, I have had the Caeser Salad before and enjoyed it. The lettuce has always been fresh and crisp. I do waver on the sandwiches because there are several that are very good. The Bacon, Brie and Basil sandwich has great flavor and some tastes that excite the taste buds.
My wife this time around tried the fishwich and loved it. She thought she would try it again the next time we visit Hamilton????????s Steak and Seafood.
If you are going, the address is 2427 North Main, North Logan (435) 787-8450. (www.hamiltonssteakhouse.com)
Would I return to Hamilton????????s? Of course I would. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the food has excellent flavor.
