Texas German Trails Project Meeting Jan. 26th

The Texas German Trails Project (TGTP) will get underway with its first

meeting at 10:30 a.m. on January 26th. We will meet at the Blinn College

Student Union Building in Brenham. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early

to allow time for registration, refreshments, etc. We will try to finish

around 12:30.

While the overall goal of the TGTP is to identify, locate, and “map” the more

significant German settlements in Texas, the goal of this initial meeting will

be to explore and discuss the parameters of the project and how it might be

financed. I will present some possibilities, but everything is open for

discussion at this point. If you have a particular possibility that you would

like to present, you must limit it to a maximum of 10 miunutes and let me know

in advance.

Please pass the word on to others who might be interested. The only

requirement is e-mail capability, and it would, of course, be helpful to

attend at least some of the meetings. Subsequent meetings will be scattered

around the state.

If you are planning to attend the meeting, please let me hear from you by

Wednesday, January 23rd. All indications are pointing to a large turnout.

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you.
