Employee of the Week: Department of Technology and Innovation Employee Miguel Navrot
Albuquerque, NM– Today, Mayor Richard J. Berry awarded Digital Engagement Manager Miguel Navrot from the City’s Department of Technology and Innovation, as this week’s Employee of the Week for his expedient and efficient work in managing the online presence of the Civilian Police Oversight Agency (CPOA).
Navrot is a dedicated City of Albuquerque employee who is always ready to assist others, particularly in the CPOA. The CPOA reviews and investigates all complaints and commendations about the Albuquerque Police Department (APD). The complaint is assigned to a CPOA investigator for a thorough independent investigation. Navrot has continually gone above and beyond his job duties in aiding the CPOA by regularly assisting in setting up and maintaining their website. He is quick to assist with all requests.
Navrot has continuously helped citizens by making sure they have direct and easy access to the CPOA. On the main-page of the City of Albuquerque’s website, the CPOA requested that he add a link to the APD Complaint and Commendation forms. Within 5 minutes, he had completed the request, without error.
Navrot has also refined the CPOA’s online forms, therefore, bringing them into compliance with the U.S. Department of Justice mandates and making the forms user friendly. He continues to work on perfecting the City’s webpages by making them accessible.
In February 2014, Navrot was awarded as the City of Albuquerque’s Employee of the Week for taking the lead to raise money for United Way of Central New Mexico. Through his diligent work, he and the City of Albuquerque department coordinators were able to raise almost $10,000 more than the previous year, for a total employee driven donation of almost $269,000.
Miguel is an invaluable asset to the City of Albuquerque. His work ethic is one to be noted and rewarded. It is for these reasons that Miguel Navrot was recognized as this week’s City of Albuquerque Employee of the Week.
