Subjects Arrested for Multiple Narcotics and Firearms Violations

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD arrested three subjects in the Second District for multiple narcotics and firearms violations.

On Thursday, October 4, 2018, Second District Task Force A officers initiated surveillance on a location in the 4200 block of Fontainebleu Drive after receiving a Crimestoppers tip.

Following surveillance and a subsequent investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed on Friday, October 5, 2018.

The search resulted in the arrest of Kenneth Sheppard (B/M DOB: 1-8-92), Delaune Treven (B/M DOB: 9-10-91), and Angelica Cortes (A/F DOB: 9-18-94) for illegal possession of schedule I controlled dangerous substance, illegal possession of schedule I controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, illegal possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substance, illegal possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.

The three were also charged with illegal possession of schedule IV controlled dangerous substance, illegal possession of schedule IV controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while in possession of illegal narcotics, and outstanding fugitive warrants from both the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Gretna Police Department.
