Project will stabilize the channel through Irvingdale Park.

A stream stability project in Irvingdale Park near 19th and Van Dorn streets is scheduled to begin Monday, July 9 and continue through the end of October. The parking lot for the park and Irvingdale Pool will remain open during the project, as will access to the pool, tennis courts and playground.

This project involves repairing the stream channel through the park and construction of a new pedestrian crossing for Irving Pool. The project is part of a joint agency effort to stabilize the stream channel, improve the water quality and revegetate the area using native plants adapted to the local conditions. The project involves the City Parks and Recreation and Public Works and Utilities departments as well as the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District (LPSNRD).
