Four intersections on North 27th St. and on Superior St. will partially close between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. July 29 through August 1 for joint and crack sealing. Access to businesses and neighborhoods will be maintained. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

The schedule is as follows:

· Sunday, July 29, Cornhusker Highway and N. 27th Street

· Monday, July 30, N. 27th and Superior streets

· Tuesday, July 31, N. 33rd and Superior streets

· Wednesday, August 1, N. 48th and Superior streets

Sealing new streets will extend the life of pavement by preventing weather damage that creates cracks and potholes. The treatment is the final step in a larger 2017 improvement project to repair and preserve concrete on N. 27th Street from Cornhusker Highway to Fletcher Avenue and on Superior Street from N. 27th Street to Cornhusker Highway.

Lincoln residents are reminded to exercise caution around construction crews. The Public Works and Utilities Department appreciates the public’s patience during this project.
