On May 19, the Greater Fort Worth Herb Society will host its 32nd annual Herb Festival.
This fun event, held at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, can be equally enjoyed by gardeners and non-gardeners because the festival isn’t merely a plant sale — it’s a day sprinkled with interesting speakers and vendors offering handmade herbal soaps and lotions, handcrafted baskets, pottery, ceramics, artwork, jewelry, nature crafts, garden décor, herbal pet products, specialty kitchenware and household products.
A silent auction will be held from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. At 10:30 a.m., Cherissa Scott, owner of Pablo’s Lotus Garden and Apothecary, will tell “The Story of a Healing Herb.” At 1 p.m., an herbal demonstration will be presented in Redbud Hall.
Festival hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is $4 per person (cash only). Children under 12 are admitted free.
