Be honest, when you think of a burger, what is the first place that comes to mind? Is it McDonalds? Or, is it Burger King? Or, maybe even Dairy Queen? Chances are it is one of these places that come to mind. However, if you live in the Salt Lake area, there very well could be another place that pops into your head … Crown Burgers.
I don’t make it to Crown Burgers often, but when I do, I enjoy it. With so many choices, you can have something different everyday of the month and then some. For this foray to Crown Burgers, I chose the Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries. Everything is made to order, so don’t expect to walk in and walk out immediately with a burger or sandwich. It will take a couple of minutes to get your order. Relax and enjoy the moment.
After enjoying some conversation with my dinner partner, the hot and juicy burger was ready. The burger was hot and the Swiss cheese melted throughout the sautéed mushrooms and onions and encompassed the hand pressed burger. And, yes, the burger had a great aroma. The home-cut fries were hot, crisp and salted (no special seasoning salt here).
The Mushroom Swiss Burger was not a disappointment. At Crown Burgers, they pride themselves on using fresh ingredients. My meal tasted fresh and I would tend to believe they use the freshest ingredients.
Crown Burgers has six locations from Salt Lake City to Layton. If you already eat there, keep enjoying it. If you haven’t tried out Crown Burgers yet, it is worth a visit. Original location is at 377 East 200 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. (www.crown-burgers.com)
