Good morning! The 12 hour shifts are officially over and Snow Fighters are winding down for the rest of the weekend. The main arterial streets are in very good condition, mainly just wet as we head into the day light hours today. The residential street plowing, “A-B-C” routes were completed last evening by 10 PM just ahead of the last minor front that came through which dropped a small amount of snow in the Peoria area. That system left us with a light cover of snow that also has created some slushy pavement on the residential streets since the last system came through Peoria in the overnight hours last evening. However, it was just under an inch of snow and the streets are very passable for travel. We urge everyone to use caution while traveling. Finally, If anyone should have any concerns after normal business hours and for the rest of this weekend, please call the non-emergency number at 309-674-3131 for assistance. Thanks!
