Its the end of the month so that means its time for the Monthy Wrap-up here on the SPD Blotter. September was a time for reflection but our officers still found the time to make some great arrests, so let’s jump right in.
On Wednesday, September 11th alongside our Seattle Fire family and community we remembered those we lost 18 years ago with a memorial at the Seattle Center.
Members of the MCTF, SWAT, and East Precinct Anti-Crime Team served two warrants Thursday, September 5th, in SeaTac and Burien, where investigators seized two kilos of heroin, four handguns—including one reported stolen in Seattle—over $34,000 cash and 523 grams of marijuana.
SPD Gang Unit detectives, working with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and FBI Safe Streets Taskforce, arrested a 24-year-old gang member in the Central District and seized a stolen handgun and narcotics on the 10th.
Narcotics investigators seized thousands of pills, two handguns and $75,000 after serving a warrant at the home of a suspected dealer in Sammamish, Washington on Friday, as part of an investigation into fentanyl dealing around Aurora and Lake City.
Officers arrested a man after they found him passed out behind the wheel of a car and in possession of a half kilogram of methamphetamine and over 100 grams of heroin on the 12th.
Major Crimes Task Force Detectives are making our neighborhoods safer by seizing heroin, methamphetamine, and fentanyl from a suspected drug dealer.
SPD investigators seized a handgun and large amounts of cash, meth, cocaine, pills, and heroin after serving a warrant at a West Seattle home on on the 21st.
A Crisis Response Unit officer petitioned the King County Superior Court for an Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) when family members of a 91-year-old man with dementia contacted them expressing concern about him after he began threatening to shoot anyone that came to his home. Officers recovered 18 firearms from the home.
A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged in the May 15th shooting of a 22-year-old man in Greenwood. The victim died the following day from his injuries.
Finally, Officers arrested a 20-year-old man in connection to a murder and shooting of two other victims at Westlake Station on the 16th.
