Rise of the Planet of the Apes Swings a Great Weekend

Rise of the Planet of the Apes swung into first place for the past weekend at the box office with $54.8 million in ticket sales. Other
comparable movies for this weekend have been G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra ($54.7 million) and earlier this summer was X-Men: First Class ($55.1 million).
