Glendale, Ariz. — The city of Glendale is inviting all bike enthusiasts to provide input on the design of a new bike park at a public meeting onWednesday, Sept. 12, at 5:30 p.m., at Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center, 5600 W. Union Hills Dr. The bike park will be located within Foothills Park, at the northeast corner of 59th Avenue and Union Hills Drive.
Glendale Parks and Recreation staff will be joined by American Ramp Company, who is contracted to design and build the bike park. The meeting will allow the public an opportunity to be part of be discussions about the various types of bike parks and riding styles, as well as what would serve the community best and be the best fit at Foothills Park. Residents attending the meeting will have the opportunity to look at design concepts and ask questions of city staff and American Ramp Company.
Those who may not be able to attend the meeting can watch it live on the city’s Facebook page, and are invited to send questions to the presenters via the social platform, at www.facebook.com/GlendaleAZ. Please note: the live stream is dependent on connectivity issues and questions may not all be answered during the meeting, but will be followed up on by staff in a timely manner.
