Relatively Speaking: Morning After the Night Before

Relatively Speaking is a throwback to another time in the world of genealogy. These are anecdotal stories to inspire those who search for their ancestors. Although, many of these stories are from before the world of computers and certainly the age of the internet, I believe that all of us have benefited from serendipity in our research.

Morning After The Night Before

This humorous note was found while looking up some Kentucky marriage records. I was looking for Alexanders and this is what I found:

??????Moses Alexander aged 93 to Mrs. Tompkins aged 105. They were married in Bath, Steubens Co. NY., June 11, 1831. They were both taken out of bed dead the following morning.??????

When I found it I got hysterical with laughter and not a single soul to share it with. One sour-faced gentleman was sitting across from me reading the stockmarket report, so telling him was pointless. Not one librarian was in sight. I nearly ??????popped?????? before I found someone to share it with.

I have been involved with publishing and marketing for the past 32 years. My passion is helping people share their voice. I am able to do this through two important venues: One, with where people can share everything from opinions to events to news. It is your choice! What do you want to share? Two, through a new program called America's Real Deal I am involved with to help business owners get their voice heard.I schedule speaking engagements with community groups and business groups to share my passion about the importance of "sharing your voice".Contact me directly at lee@leeeverton.coom for scheduling information.
