Relatively Speaking: COUSINS!

Relatively Speaking is a throwback to another time in the world of genealogy. These are anecdotal stories to inspire those who search for their ancestors. Although, many of these stories are from before the world of computers and certainly the age of the internet, I believe that all of us have benefited from serendipity in our research.

My husband and I had always been aware of how much we looked like one another in our baby pictures, but this didn?›ƒ?ªƒ?›t prepare us for a surprise discovery I made recently while tracing our ancestors; David?›ƒ?ªƒ?›s grandmother, Inez Hold Ferris was a descendant of Thomas Beebe (born in Broughton, England, in 1633) and his twin brother, Samuel Beebe, was the ancestor of my great grandmother, Emma Beebe Troup.

So now our friends kid us about being ?›ƒ?ª?cousins.?›ƒ?ª?
