The public is invited to an open house Tuesday, April 10 to discuss a new Downtown Lincoln Master Plan. The event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rococo Theatre, 140 N. 13th St. The open house will begin with the presentation “Global Trends Affecting Downtowns” by Brad Segal, President, Progressive Urban Management Associates (P.U.M.A.) of Denver, Colorado. The City and the Downtown Lincoln Association have contracted with P.U.M.A. to help develop the new plan.

The purpose of the plan is to identify priorities and initiatives that will guide improvements in downtown over the next five to 10 years. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the plan with the consultant team and City representatives at “interactive idea stations.” Topics will include economic development, innovation, business opportunities, transportation, connectivity, housing, amenities and services. The City’s last Downtown Master Plan was completed 13 years ago.

Registration is not required, and free parking will be available in the University Square Garage, 101 N. 14th Street.
