Proving Your Revolutionary War Ancestor

Reba E Shepard, well known local genealogist and member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, has been appointed State Lineage Research Chairman – Supplementals for the Florida State Society Daughters of the American Revolution for 2011 and 2012.

Reba will kick off her term with a free seminar at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Hotel in Orlando on Saturday 24 September, 2011.

This assignment is not new to Reba. Donna Cullen, State Regent, stated in a meeting recently that “Reba pioneered Lineage Research Seminars for the Florida State Society in the 1990’s” while serving as Lineage Research Chairman for 2 – 2 year terms.

Author Bio: Reba E Shepard is currently serving as Vice President of te Martin County Genealogy Society and is Education Chairman, scheduling (and teaching some) classes for beginners and experienced researhcers alike. She teaches Genealogy and Family History Classes at Martin County High School, has written numerous articles on Genealogy, and is a published author with a book on one of her ancestors, Lemuel Peterson (1764 New Jersey-1847 Illinois), which covers his 4 wives and 15 children. Reba and her husband Larry also wrote A Guide Book to he British Virgin Islands, and 2 cookbooks, published by McMillan – London) after a 15 year sailing experienee on their Yacht Borne Free.
