District 1 and At-Large council member open houses this Wednesday and Thursday
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo– A series of seven open houses with City Council and the City’s Planning and Development Department will allow the public to have their voice heard regarding PlanCOS, a draft of the City’s comprehensive plan. PlanCOS is the first comprehensive plan for the City of Colorado Springs since 2001, the plan is primarily being shaped by input from the community.
The first open house will be in District 1 with Council Member Don Knight on Wednesday, July 11 from 6-8 p.m. at the National Cyber Security Center, 3650 N Nevada Avenue.
The second open house will be with At-Large Council Members Merv Bennett, Tom Strand and Bill Murray on Thursday, July 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the City Auditorium, 221 E. Kiowa Street.
The City invites the public to stop by for five minutes or stay for the full two hours. The open houses will have displays breaking down each chapter of the comprehensive plan, City staff and steering committee members will be available to answer questions about the plan, a computer station will allow for immediate feedback from the public, and light refreshments will be served.
