The Parks and Recreation Department invites the public to a meeting Tuesday, July 25 to discuss the equestrian trail and bridle path in Pioneers Park. The meeting is from 7 to 9 p.m. at the shelter near the playground southwest of the Smoke Signals sculpture.
Discussion topics will include the condition and maintenance of the trail; coordinating the use of the trail with other activities in the park, such as performances at Pinewood Bowl and cross-country running events; and potential opportunities for extension of the trail.
Participants are encouraged to enter the park from West Van Dorn Street due to street construction at Coddington Avenue. In case of rain, the meeting will be at the Pioneers Park Nature Center Prairie Building at the west end of the park.
