The Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold an open house seeking community comment on the Reed Avenue Rail Corridor Plan on October 3, 2017.
The community is invited to join representatives from the City of Cheyenne, the MPO and project consultant, Kimley-Horn and Associates, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Laramie County Library, Cottonwood Room, 2200 Pioneer Avenue.
The Kimley-Horn team will present findings and proposed concepts for the Reed Corridor project’s key issues, areas in which the project team would like the community’s input, as well as presentation of preliminary design concepts.
Initially introduced to the community at a town hall meeting in April 2017, and then followed up with a design charrette in June, the goal of the Reed Avenue Rail Corridor Design project is to identify strategies that improve the pedestrian experience and increase economic development potential within the Reed Avenue Corridor area of the West Edge District.
More information about the project can be found at http://www.plancheyenne.org/mpo-project/reed-avenue-plan/. Questions about the plan can be directed to Tom Mason, MPO Director, at 307.637.6299 or [email protected]
