NOPD VOWS Unit Arrests Subject in Second District Armed Robbery

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshals arrested Johnell Kagler, (B/M DOB: 12/24/1990), for armed robbery with a firearm

Kagler was arrested in the 3100 block of Beinville Street. He was wanted by Detective Jerry Baldwin of the Second District Investigative Unit. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of South Jefferson Davis Parkway, on December 31, 2017.

On that date, around 11 a.m., the victim was pumping gas at the location when he was approached from the rear by Kagler, who pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded the keys to the car. The victim complied and Kagler fled the location in the vehicle.
