[delay +1 hour]

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD’s First District will begin broadcasting live its weekly MAX meetings, starting with the next scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

To view the broadcast and keep up with First District news, follow the First District’s Facebook page, which can be found by visiting https://www.facebook.com/NOPDFirst.

The meetings are held each Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the First District Station, located at 501 North Rampart Street. The public is invited to attend these meeting. However, knowing that the public is not always able to attend, district leadership has chosen to make these meetings more easily available for viewing.

MAX meetings, led by the senior leadership in each NOPD district, provide a synopsis of police activity for the week, including trends in crime and crime reduction strategies that are being implemented. These meetings also include a discussion on all other topics for which that District has responsibility. The data supporting these MAX meetings is available online at http://nopdnews.com/transparency/max to improve transparency and accountability.
