NOPD, FBI Arrest Subject Wanted for Armed Robberies, Burglaries

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a man believed to be involved in a string of armed robberies, thefts, and burglaries throughout the metro New Orleans area.

Andre Addison (B/M DOB: 09-01-1962) was arrested on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in the act of robbing a Metro PCS location.

Addison was arrested by the Westbank Major Crimes Task Force. At the time of his arrest, Addison was in possession of a BB gun which was used during the robbery.

Addison was booked for outstanding warrants including six business burglaries, four simple robberies, three armed robberies, two simple criminal damage to property, and a theft of a motor vehicle.

The businesses Addison is accused of targeting included were Jimmy Johns, Subway, Metro PCS, Family Dollar, Dollar General, Wendy’s, and Boost Mobile.

The investigation remains open and active and is a joint effort between the NOPD, FBI Violent Crime Task Force and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
