NOPD Arrests Two, Seeks a Third Subject on Drug, Weapons Charges

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD has arrested two subjects on drug and weapons charges and is searching for a third subject that evaded capture in the Seventh District.

On Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:37 p.m., Seventh District Task Force officers on patrol observed the subjects smoking marijuana while in possession of firearms near a parked vehicle in the 7800 block of Buffalo Street.

The subjects discarded two of the weapons and fled the area. Two of the subjects were apprehended with the assistance of Seventh District officers and a detective after a brief foot chase.

  • Rochon Davis was found to have 3 active warrants out of Jefferson Parish
  • Javon Gordon was found to possess crack cocaine and a handgun
  • Brandon Young escaped capture and is wanted for several charges

A search of the vehicle produced the firearms, ammunition, narcotics, and ski masks.

All face charges including illegal carrying of weapon, possession of Schedule I, II, IV drugs, illegal carrying of weapon while in possession of narcotics, resisting an officer.
