NOPD Arrests Suspect in Aggravated Assault on Boeing Street


NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD has arrested Tyree Jones (DOB: 07-30-1998) in connection with an aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred in the 5900 block of Boeing Street on September 11, 2018.

On September 11, 2018, NOPD Seventh District Officers arrested Tyree Jones for aggravated assault with a firearm. During investigation, Jones was identified by the victim as a subject that pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her during an argument. A search warrant was obtained and executed on Jones’ residence and a loaded handgun was found hidden in Jones’ closet.

Additionally, Jones was found to be in violation of a court order, which prohibited him from possessing a firearm, and was charged with one count of violation of protective orders.

Jones was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center accordingly.
