NOPD Arrests Subject in Fourth District Shooting

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD arrested a subject in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred in the Fourth District.

On Saturday, July 14, 2018, around 2 p.m., a shooting was reported in the 3400 block of Garden Oaks Drive. When officers arrived, they discovered a victim at the location suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

During the course of the investigation, Anthony Smith (B/M DOB: 7-9-1993)

was identified as the accused perpetrator.

On July 19, 2018 Smith turned himself him and was taken into custody without incident. Smith was booked aggravated battery.
