NOPD Arrests Subject in Fourth District Shooting

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD arrested a subject in connection with a second degree aggravated battery in the Fourth District.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on July 26, 2018 in the 1800 block of Murl Street.

The victims were standing at the location when a white truck pulled up. Two subjects exited the truck armed with handguns and began firing at the victims, striking them multiple times.

The subjects then entered the truck and fled the location. During the investigation, Allen Ledet (B/M DOB: 8/30/1987) was developed as a suspect in the incident and was later identified as one of the perpetrators.

On July 26, 2018, Ledet was arrested on an unrelated gun charge. Fourth District detectives were then able to re-book Ledet for the aggravated battery by shooting.
