NOPD Arrests Subject in Eighth District Aggravated Battery

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD arrested a subject wanted in connection with an aggravated battery that occurred in the Eighth District.

Kristopher Campbell was arrested by Eighth District officers Saturday, December 8, 2018 around 6:30 p.m.

Officers contacted Campbell via telephone and met him at 2 Poydras Street and informed him that he was wanted in connection with an aggravated battery.

Campbell was driving the same cab allegedly driven during the incident. The vehicle was subsequently towed to be searched for evidence.

Campbell was wanted in connection with an aggravated battery which occurred on December 5, 2018 around 5:49 a.m. near St. Charles Ave. and Lafayette Square.

Campbell allowed the victim to use his cell phone to place a call. After he allowed the victim to use his phone the victim attempted to flee with the phone. Campbell chased the victim with his vehicle striking him from the rear. After striking the victim Campbell continued to chase the victim traveling the wrong way against traffic.

Campbell was arrested and booked with aggravated battery.
