The Department of Journalism and Media Studies at New Mexico State University will be welcoming photojournalist Don Bartletti to the Creative Media Insitute theatre located in Milton Hall Wednesday, Oct. 3. The talk will begin at 10:30 a.m., and he will speak for an hour and present his work on “Product of Mexico.”

Bartletti was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in Feature Photography in 2003 for his six-part photo essay in the Los Angeles Times, “Enrique’s Journey.” Bartletti went on to retire from the LA Times in 2015.

Bartletti is now a guest lecturer and teacher at universities, high schools and civic organizations. His photographs can be found in museums and have been published in books.

“If you are interested in Mexico, immigration, agriculture, labor, fine photographic images, how to do journalism and reporting, this is the lecture you should be at” said Bruce Berman, associate professor of journalism and mass communications.

Berman also explained the theater holds 99 people and he hopes to fill the seats.
