New Mexico State University’s Employee Council will host the eighth annual Employee Appreciation Picnic. The employee picnic will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct.19, at Preciado Park, which is located on the NMSU campus at the corner of Gregg Street and Williams Avenue.
Monica Dunivan, chair of the Employee Council Executive Committee, said she hopes to see more people get involved and come out to enjoy good food.
“It’s important to have this picnic because it helps with morale. We always get positive feedback, and people get a chance to see coworkers from recent jobs at the university,” she said.
NMSU President John Floros will be awarding an employee the ‘A’ Mountain Staff Award.
The Employee Council is an advisory body to the NMSU leadership for all matters affecting NMSU employees. Members participate in 18 standing committees that focus on the administration of university policies, initiatives and incentives.
All employees are encouraged to attend Employee Council meetings, participation is also available through a webcast.
