New Changes Allows Public Works to Patch Potholes More Efficiently

The Public Works Street Division implemented a new organizational structure on July 17th. Under the new structure, the Street Division was able to patch every pothole from end-to-end on State Avenue in only two days without pulling team members from other important activities.

The new structure is divided into three sections, each led by a Superintendent:

  • Street Preservation,
  • Traffic/Sweeping, and
  • Special Services (Mowing & Alleyways)

The new approach is designed to increase operational efficiencies and improve customer service. This new approach to patching will ultimately allow crews to address pothole reports more quickly and efficiently.
