U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Various Air Force aircraft are scheduled to fly at the Air Force Academy, Oct. 5-6.

During the Oct. 5 noon meal formation, there will be an aerial demonstration on the Academy’s Terrazzo. Joint Terminal Attack Controllers will direct CV-22 Osprey, F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-35 Lightning II and F-22 Raptors to mimic airpower applications used in modern conflicts.

After the demonstration, the CV-22 will land on the Terrazzo as a static display.

In addition, there will be flyovers of the B-1 Lancer, the F-35 Lightning II and the UH-1 Huey over Falcon stadium prior to kick-off for the Air Force v. Navy football game Oct. 6.

Residents in communities surrounding the Air Force Academy can expect increased air traffic and noise during this time period.
