Saturday, August 12 Zoo Idaho will be saying thanks to those who serve.
The zoo is hosting the “Ninth Annual Military Family Appreciation Day” and offering free admission to all those who are currently serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces and their families. The honored guests and their loved ones can receive free admission to the zoo and lunch, and enjoy family friendly activities. The event is sponsored by the Idaho State Military Division Family Programs and partner organizations American Legion, Farm Bureau, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
“This event allows us to express our gratitude to those who have sacrificed for our community and country.” said Peter Pruett, Zoo Idaho Superintendent. “It’s because of the service of some that we all get to enjoy the freedoms we do.”
Current and former members of the military will need to show proof of service such as a military identification card to receive free admission.
