MedStar offers Stop the Bleed course

Just as everyday people learn to perform CPR, the public should learn proper bleeding-control techniques, including how to use hands, dressings and tourniquets.

Victims can die from uncontrolled bleeding in five to 10 minutes. However, anyone at the scene can act as an immediate responder and save lives if they know what to do.

MedStar is offering a free Stop the Bleed class from 1-3 p.m. May 19 at MedStar headquarters, 2900 Alta Mere Drive. The course is free, but registration is required.

I have been involved with publishing and marketing for the past 32 years. I enjoy helping people find ways to share their voice. I have found ways to do this through the written word, articles and various media outlets. Area-Info.net is an avenue to help everyone have a voice who wants a voice. If you have questions about how you can have your voice heard, I would be happy to schedule a time to consult with you.
