Media & Entertainment Strategist Christopher Vollmer Joins MediaLink as a Managing Director

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–MediaLink, an Ascential company, announced today that Christopher
Vollmer has joined the firm as a managing director. He will report to
Michael Kassan, Chairman and CEO of MediaLink, and be based in New York.

Vollmer brings more than two decades of experience advising senior
leaders on growth strategy and business transformation across the media,
technology and consumer marketing sectors. He joins MediaLink from
Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting business that was formed in 2014
after PwC acquired Booz & Company. At PwC, Vollmer served as the Global
Advisory Leader for Entertainment and Media, specializing in strategy
development and capability building for leading entertainment, media,
digital, sports and marketing services companies. Prior to PwC’s
acquisition of Booz & Company in 2014, Vollmer was a partner with Booz &
Company and the leader of its global entertainment and media practice.

“Chris has one of those rare, strategic minds that’s simultaneously
focused on driving actionable change and impact,” said Kassan. “When it
comes to foresight, he’s ten steps ahead and has demonstrated a
remarkable ability to help global clients navigate a rapidly evolving
media and marketing ecosystem in real-time. As a senior advisor in every
sense of the word, Chris brings our clients incredibly valuable
expertise at a time when their focus is squarely on strategic and
operational transformation to accelerate growth and profitability. He
has a distinguished track record in the industry sectors that matter the
most to MediaLink. We are excited to have Chris on our team, and our
clients will be too.”

As a senior member of MediaLink’s leadership team, Vollmer will advise
clients in media, entertainment, sports, and marketing services on
corporate strategy and business transformation, new revenue models and
growth acceleration, and business development including partnerships and
acquisitions.

Vollmer is a recognized thought leader and commentator on major trends
in media, advertising and technology. His insights have been featured in
the Financial Times, The New York Times, The Wall
Street Journal
, Ad Age, Variety, Axios and strategy
+ business
, among others. In 2008, he authored Always On, a Wall
Street Journal
business bestseller, which chronicled the
digital-fueled transformation of media and marketing. Most recently, he
led PwC’s Global Entertainment and Media Outlook thought leadership
platform, which included his viewpoint on new revenue models,
addressable audiences and fan-centric businesses entitled The Revenue
Stream Revolution in Entertainment and Media
.

“As media companies and brands continue their migration towards a more
direct-to-consumer environment, they need answers to a more complex set
of questions related to their business and operating models than ever
before. To guide them successfully towards what’s next, their advisors
have to bring a high impact combination of expertise, connectivity and
foresight to the table,” said Vollmer. “MediaLink is a focused community
of practitioners and strategists, who personify these qualities and live
and breathe best-in-breed, actionable solutions, 24/7. The people,
know-how, and network at MediaLink are distinctive. By combining my
skills and expertise with MediaLink’s unique capabilities, I look
forward to helping our clients win in the market.”

Two, through a new program called America's Real Deal I am involved with to help business owners get their voice heard. For people who love to save money and earn while saving, there is a new program called the r network.
