BOSTON – Friday, September 30, 2016 – Mayor Martin J. Walsh will join the Vision Zero Task Force, Cambridge Mobile Telematics and the Arbella Insurance Foundation to launch a new initiative aimed at safer streets in Boston on Monday, October 3 at 11:30 a.m. in Copley Square.
Last year, Mayor Walsh released the Vision Zero Boston Action Plan, which outlines the city’s plan for eliminating serious and fatal crashes in Boston by 2030. The Action Plan promises increased effort in four critical areas: reducing speeds and building safer streets; tackling distracted and impaired driving; engaging with Bostonians; and holding ourselves accountable. The full action plan is available at visionzeroboston.org.
