MAYOR WALSH ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE TO CELEBRATE MLK DAY IN BOSTON

BOSTON – Friday, January 13, 2017 – Mayor Martin J. Walsh today announced his schedule to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day throughout Boston, recognizing the enormous achievements Dr. King made to advance civil rights in America.

Mayor Walsh offers remarks at the 47th annual MLK Memorial Breakfast.

Mayor Walsh attends the William E. Carter American Legion Post Annual MLK Breakfast.

10:00 a.m.
Mayor Walsh kicks off the Boston Cares MLK Day, an event that will engage 750 volunteers of all ages in portable volunteering projects that will benefit more than 1,000 Boston Public School students.
