Mark???¦??s Column ~ Finance & Ebony in Harmony with Ivory. . .
I hope you are having a wonderful week thus far. I have some interesting updates on the ???¦?Real Stocks???¦? blogging thread @ http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=2434.
It has been a most interesting week. Before we get too deep into the topic at hand take your time to crank up the tune following this paragraph. Go get yourself a soothing drink of your favor and prepare to kick back and listen as you read. There are many informants that come into play on this thread. You can find their articles on the thread previously posted. For now, kick back and take your morning break and listen to a song of the past from two historical musicians. . .
Ebony & Ivory~
What Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder present in their song is the necessity for different strokes throughout the world to get along. This unnecessary media coverage of the murder of the young adult in Florida who supposedly attacked another individual who was protecting the premises within his district. Then, a little later three reported ???¦?African Americans???¦? shot and killed a student in Mississippi. We don???¦??t need this type of activity, and the leadership of this country needs to figure that out. These activities aren???¦??t doing much to promote our economy ~ unless, of course, they want to promote guns. You might want to review the statistics on gun sales as posted here: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=2434 and come to your own conclusions. It???¦??s pretty sad when a society???¦??s best investment opportunity is in purchasing guns and ammunition. Does that give any of you a signal of the trends for the future? I have my clues.
There are situations within the United States that are much more important to address. We have a crashing economy, a dollar that is on the trail to collapse and we are facing one of the worst cases of inflation ever known to this nation. I call it ???¦?Super-inflation???¦?. Continue to watch the price of basic food items and you will know what I am saying. Hey, how about that cheese? Whew. How about those steaks you use to once love to eat? Wow! With bread, you might get lucky and find some deals. I???¦??ll tell you one thing right now, it won???¦??t be for long. As I???¦??ve said before, stock up on canned goods and dried foods. Go to dollar stores and get ready for a tough situation up ahead and right in the middle of the road. With the events the world is showing ~ events forthcoming do not appear to be very good.
Lets all take a break for another song to swallow the information provided ~
Jimmy Buffett ~ Changes in Attitude, Changes in Latitude. . .
Isn???¦??t it kind of interesting how others formulate their experiences? I met Jimmy Buffett in Las Vegas. What a fun guy! Then I grabbed my seat WAY up in the stands. I went with a couple of great friends from Henderson, NV. They were taking care of my horse so I figured I would take them to a bit of relief. In times like these, it is good to pay for ???¦?relief???¦? without having to take medications.
Now, here are a few ideas to provide you with relief that won???¦??t cost you a dime.
1: When it rains, go out and take a walk. Take your umbrella and your favorite friend or your spouse. Sometimes they don???¦??t correlate very well, but do it. Then, don???¦??t focus on the downpour from the dark clouds overhead, focus on the smell of the rain. Try to focus on being the sunshine for everyone around you. It will enlighten your life, and their lives as well. Believe me, it pays dividends.
2: Turn off the TV. Do the things you always wished you had time to do around the house. Write a poem, write a story, or clean the garage. Develop creative habits and resist the need to spend money. Perhaps you might want to steam clean your carpets or clean the restrooms. Oh, by the way, LISTEN TO MUSIC during these times. Your favorites are always best. We???¦??ll take another break right here to listen to a good one to ???¦?mellow you out???¦? during times of trials and tribulation. Remember one thing while you listen to this phenomenal tune. None of us are actually 100% American. Our ancestors or parents came here from other countries. Break time again! Don???¦??t you just love this class!
Neil Diamond ~ Coming to America. . .
3: While you are doing things to relax, think about your investments and your future. Contemplate them, don???¦??t worry about them. Things will fall into place. Contemplate how to address forthcoming circumstances. Many of them are unforeseen, but my motto has always been ???¦?Be prepared for the worst situations, and if the ???¦??worst???¦?? never happens, you will be ahead of the pack.???¦?
4: Say, ???¦?Hello???¦? to two or three people each day. Be their friend. The stress level with a great deal of people right now is pretty high. Smile or wave to them to signal your acknowledgment that you appreciated seeing them as you ventured down the road. Who hasn???¦??t ever felt like they were being appreciated? Do you get my drift? Appreciate the people around you and it is a sure shot that you, as well ~ will be appreciated. Attack them, and I???¦??ll assure you of one thing ~ revenge is forthcoming.
Let???¦??s listen to another song before this column ends. This is a song from the past. . .
ABBA ~ What???¦??s the Name of The Game?
In Ending: Practice the techniques provided in these columns and I???¦??ll guarantee you that your expense levels for living will go down, and your comfort of living will go up. Remember to ???¦?barter???¦? at every chance you get. The chances of having a good support crew if things get really tough will be to work with others. If you can fulfill their needs, they will fulfill yours. Lend a hand to those in need. Live within your means and live for a purpose.
Here???¦??s a little fun for all of you to finish off with. Now go wash those coffee and tea cups! ~~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPZFHoTAnLM
Peace be with you all. . .always, and in all ways ~
